Abstract

A case of compression of the right upper lobe bronchus in a child with a right aortic arch and right ductus arteriosus is described. Right aortic arch with right patent ductus arteriosus is a rare congenital anomaly. Consider that this variant of arch anatomy does not lead to the formation of a symptomatic vascular ring. Case description: a 6-month-old child with symptoms of respiratory distress during physical activity was diagnosed with right aortic arch with a mirror type of branching and a right patent ductus arteriosus, which caused compression of the upper lobe bronchus on the right. Right aortic arch associated with right ductus arteriosus may lead to the formation of an incomplete vascular ring.
