Abstract

Three-dimensional (3D) modeling is one of the most promising areas in modern cardiac surgery, particularly for planning operations in patients with complex congenital heart defects. This technology allows for the creation of a personalized anatomical model, which is essential for the accurate visualization of intracardiac anatomy, assessment of hemodynamics, and pre-operative simulation of the surgical procedure. This clinical case demonstrates the successful application of the technique in an adult patient with subaortic obstruction in the long-term period after the Fontan procedure. The use of a 3D model, created based on computed tomography data, enabled a detailed assessment of the spatial relationships of cardiac structures and the selection of an optimal surgical strategy, which ultimately contributed to a successful outcome.
