Abstract

The problem of choosing the tactics of surgical treatment of patients with atherosclerotic lesions of the iliac arteries is still relevant. Stenting of the iliac arteries is a fairly effective and safe method in patients with obliterating lower extremities artery disease. Despite the belief that stenting is a relatively safe procedure, the complication rate ranges from 7.9% to 23.7%. One of the most serious complications is acute progressive limb ischemia, due to stent thrombosis, which can lead to the loss of a limb. This article describes a clinical case of successful treatment of a patient with progressive acute limb ischemia caused by migration and thrombosis of a previously implanted stent.
