Abstract

Endovascular treatment methods are becoming the “gold standard” for the correction of cardiovascular pathology and could be the method of choice for high-risk patients with cardiovascular diseases. Endovascular techniques stand in the basic principles of surgery: valvular commissurotomy, implantation of support rings and prosthetic valves, reduction of the diameter of the native fibrosis ring and clipping of valve leaflets, plastic of the subvalvular structures, implantation of defect occluders (like a ”patch”). The key of such strategy and depend on clinical and anatomical specialties of patient. Use of a wide range of high-tech endovascular instrumentation is obligatory. Perioperative ultrasound support for endovascular surgery is an important part of the successful interventions both at the preoperative stage and intraoperative. Expert-level of echocardiographic intraoperative imaging is one of the main requirements for modern endovascular surgery.
