Abstract

Surgical treatment of aortic coarctation in patients with concomitant cardiac pathology is extremely topical in cardiovascular surgery, far from its resolution. The high frequency of complications in the treatment of such patients determines the preferred endovascular technique of correction, which is often impossible due to the anatomy of a congenital malformation. The presence of myocardial dysfunction of mixed genesis and features of systemic hemodynamics dictate the choice of a single weighted solution in determining the tactics of treatment.

The article describes the rare clinical case of treating an almost complete aortic interruption in an adult patient after myocardial infarction, heart failure and significant lesions of the coronary arteries.
