Abstract

The advantage of reconstructive surgery is undeniable in the surgical treatment of patients with valvular pathology, especially at a young age. This type of intervention is more preferable on the aortic valve in patients with aortic regurgitation with or without a proximal aortic aneurysm in the diagnosis, as noted in the latest clinical guidelines for the treatment of aortic insufficiency of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. However, the frequency of aortic valve reconstruction in clinical practice is inferior to radical operations. The main purpose of the article is to describe the normal and bicuspid aortic valve using three-dimensional echocardiography in terms of the proposed reconstructive operation, the need for standardization of the echocardiographic protocol for assessing the condition and function of the aortic valve for cardiac surgeons. The study of the morphofunctional state of the aortic valve of the heart is necessary to select a more effective reconstructive intervention and predict the outcomes of the postoperative period. Three-dimensional echocardiography is the most sensitive imaging modality in the prognosis and assessment of aortic valve reconstruction in aortic valve insufficiency.
