Abstract
The article shows a multi-stage process of treating critical lower limb ischemia with multilevel, extended stenosis and lower limb arteries occlusions. The interest of this clinical case is that initially open operations were performed because of the impossibility of endovascular treatment. However, with the bypass and tibial arteries thrombosis, an attempt to recanalize the lower limb arteries with subsequent stenting was successful. After the endovascular treatment, the moist gangrene of the foot was stopped, the supporting and motor function of the lower limb was restored, and the patient's quality of life improved. Also, the authors demonstrate the effectiveness of combined antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy. Simultaneous administration of rivaroxaban and acetylsalicylic acid, in comparison with a single intake of aspirin, improves the long-term functionality of the bypass and recanalized arteries.References
