Abstract

A case of successful surgical pulmonary thromboendarterectomy in the 33-years-old patient is presented. Clinical manifestations of the disease included respiratory failure and circulatory failure (III functional class according to the New York Heart Association). The diagnosis is established by computer tomography. Thromboendarterectomy was performed under conditions of artificial circulation allowed to successfully remove thrombi from pulmonary arteries and achieve significant improvement in the clinical state of the patient with reducing of the functional class even in the early postoperative period.
